His Excellency the Minister of Planning and Strategic Investment (MPIE), Gastão Francisco de Sousa, accompanied His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, on a visit to the Easy Learning English (ELE) Association, located in the Administrative Post of Oecusse, Lifau Village, Pante Makasar Sub-Region, Special Administrative Region of Oecusse Ambeno (RAEOA), on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.
The Easy Learning English (ELE) Association was established with the aim of providing English language training to the youth of Oecusse, in order to prepare Timor-Leste’s human resources for future development.
During the visit, Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão encouraged the young participants to continue learning and to value education, emphasizing that national development requires high-quality and capable human resources.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also distributed T-shirts bearing the message “𝐇𝐚𝐮 𝐍𝐢𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐢, 𝐇𝐚𝐮 𝐍𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐫” to the students currently attending English language courses at the association, as a gesture of appreciation and motivation.
The visit was also attended by His Excellency the Minister of State Administration (MAE), Tomás do Rosário Cabral, and the President of the Authority of the Special Administrative Region of Oecusse Ambeno (RAEOA), Régio da Crúz Salu.
