The Government of Timor-Leste welcomes

today’s announcement by the Australian Government, regarding the appointment of the Honourable Steve Bracks AC as Australia’s Special Representative for Greater Sunrise Project.

The appointment of the Honourable Steve Bracks AC marks a step forward in our cooperation on the Greater Sunrise Project. The Government of Timor-Leste reiterates its willingness to work cooperatively with the Australian Government and stakeholders during consultations on this matter of critical importance to Timor-Leste.
