The Ministry of Planning and Strategic Investment (MPIE) through the Integrated Planning Unit (UPI), and Ministry of Finance (MoF) discuss the preparation of the Medium-Term Plan (MTP) 2026-2030. This meeting is part of unified medium-term planning process that will ensure alignment of the MTP with the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) 2011-2030, 9th Constitutional Government Programme, and other international and regional commitments such as the Sustainable Development Goals and ASEAN obligations.
The specific objectives of this meeting are to:
- Present the findings from SDP target progress monitoring study prepared by UPI-MPIE.
- Present the focus of the MTP 2026-2030 on the economic sector, including key development alternatives and scenarios.
- Present and discuss the approach and methodology and the schedule for the MTP 2026-2030.
- Present initial draft structure of the MTP 2026-2030 and gather initial technical feedback.
The meeting also gather the representatives from the members of the Inter-Ministerial Coordination Commissions (IMCCs) as per Government Resolution no. 43/2024. The Inter-Ministerial participation is essential for ensuring that the MTP 2026–2030 reflects realistic priorities, clear responsibilities and robust links to the medium term fiscal framework.
